Moots' Message

We are continuing to enroll students at a first come first serve rate.  Please bring in an unofficial transcript to speed up the scheduling process.

On Saturday December 5th, all 11th and 12th grade students that signed up for the SAT will be taking the SAT at a location closest to their zip code.  They will not be taking the SAT at Gray.  We originally stated it would be given at Gray but the College Board will be assigning each student a place closest to their home zip code.  Your child should have gotten an email with the site they need to go.  They will need a picture ID.  If they haven't received an email, please see Ms Aly tomorrow or sometime this week.

We are asking all students that have signed up for the December 5th SAT to take our free SAT workshop starting tomorrow.  Attached are the groups with the days and time of their particular workshop.  The English workshop will be from 1:30 to 3:30 in Ms Webb's room and the Math workshop will be from 2:30 to 4:30 in Ms Griffitts room.  If for some reason your child can't go on thier group day, they can go with Group 6.  This will take a two hour committment for two afternoons for each student.

Counselor's Corner

The SAT will be given for FREE to all juniors and seniors on December 5.  Students will need to use paper applications to sign up for this.  Applications will be made available on November 3.

We will be offering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) at Gray in the next few weeks.  This aptitude test is not only for students interested in the armed forces, it is also a great way to narrow fields of interest and find areas of academic strength.  Any student interested in taking the assessment needs to sign up in the front office with Ms. Renee.
